Enervive: Encouraging the creativity within all mental disorders

ADD/ADHD

Children and adults with ADD or ADHD often move from one task to another, rather than finishing one task at a time. This thinking style is a natural aid to creativity. By thinking about several tasks or topics at once, the person with ADD/ADHD can blend many known ideas together to form new, unknown ideas.

The ADD/ADHD person is often curious about many different things, all at once. This natural curiosity allows him or her to experience a wider variety of stimuli than others. The ADD/ADHD person often makes very interesting observations about the world.

A person with ADD or ADHD sometimes has difficulty with administrative work that requires attention to detail. However, his or her strengths in generating creative, spontaneous ideas are most valuable and can lead to many opportunities. If you have ADD or ADHD, you may be able to contribute to society greatly and in ways that the average person cannot.
