Enervive: Encouraging the creativity within all mental disorders

Our challenge to you

Enervive's Mentally Creative Challenge

We would like to motivate you to use your creative talents. We would also like to disprove the critics out there who dismiss the idea that people with mental disorders are capable of great creativity.

We have discovered that one of the best ways to become motivated is to be challenged. Therefore, we are challenging you. You have one week to create or make significant progress on a creative work of your own.

Rules for participating

1. You determine the start date for the one-week period on your own. You do not have to tell us about it; in fact, we recommend that you wait until the end of the challenge to email us. If you want, you can announce it on your website or blog with the "My Pledge" banner:

Enervive's Mentally Creative Challenge: My Pledge

2. Exactly one week from your chosen start date, think about whether you have fulfilled your pledge. If you have succeeded, congratulations! If you'd like, you may email us at editor@enervive.com to tell us about your work; we might even publish some of your testimonials and/or links to your work, on our website.

You may also announce it on your website or blog with the "Award" banner:

Enervive's Mentally Creative Challenge: Award

If you did not succeed, you are allowed to take the challenge again, so don't worry.

3. Unlike most other challenges, you decide whether you deserve the award or not. We are not here to judge you; we trust you to be honest with yourself about whether or not you have succeeded.

4. You may use our "Creative Mind Challenge" graphics; however, you should copy them to your hard drive and then upload them to your own web space, rather than directly linking to the images on our server.

Spread the word

To keep yourself motivated, you can take the challenge with a friend, or even with your entire support group. Doing this also helps to spread the word about our mission.
